Terms of service
These terms govern your use of Eventeer. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.
Last updated: November 1, 2026
Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract. If you sign up for a company, you confirm you can bind it. Give accurate information, keep your credentials safe, and tell us if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You can add two-factor authentication or passkeys in your account settings, and we recommend it.
Organizations and roles
Work in Eventeer happens inside organizations. Each member has a role: owner, admin or member. Owners control the subscription, billing and membership; the permissions of each role are described in the product documentation. The organization’s owners are responsible for its members’ activity, for the invitations they send and for removing people who should no longer have access.
Subscriptions and billing
- Eventeer is a paid service. There is no free tier and no trial. You can sign up and configure your organization before paying, but traffic is accepted only while a plan is active.
- Each plan is a monthly base price that includes a quota of events and connection minutes, with limits and event retention that depend on the plan. Current plans and prices are on the pricing page.
- Usage beyond the included quota is billed as overage, in blocks, at the rate shown for your plan. Usage totals come from our own metering.
- You set a spend cap. When the plan is no longer valid (for example, unpaid or canceled), ingress requests receive HTTP
402(plan_required), WebSocket connections close with code4402, and deliveries pause. Deliveries are held rather than dropped and resume when the plan is valid again. - We email organization owners and admins at 80% and 100% of each quota and of the spend cap, when a payment fails, and when a plan is canceled.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices exclude taxes that apply to you unless stated otherwise.
- You can change plans at any time. A downgrade takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Subscriptions renew each month until canceled.
- When you cancel, or a subscription becomes unpaid, ingestion and delivery stop, your data stays readable for 30 days, and then the organization’s events are deleted. Amounts already paid for a period are not refunded unless the law requires it.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- send, store or deliver content that is illegal or infringes the rights of others;
- upload or transmit malware, or use the service to gain unauthorized access to any system;
- use destinations, WebSocket sources or alert webhooks to attack, flood or scan third parties, or to reach internal networks you do not own;
- circumvent rate limits, quotas, the spend cap or other technical limits, or abuse them to degrade the service for others;
- resell or white-label the service without our written agreement;
- interfere with the service’s security, or probe it for vulnerabilities outside responsible disclosure to support@eventeer.io.
Your data
You own the events, payloads and configuration you send to Eventeer. You give us the right to process them only to provide the service to you: to receive, store, display, replay and deliver them, to compute metrics and alerts, and to keep the service secure and running. You are responsible for having the right to send that data, including any personal data in it, and for the data you choose to forward to your destinations. How we handle personal data is described in the privacy policy.
API keys and security
API keys, listener URLs, tokens and signing secrets grant access. Keep them confidential, scope keys as narrowly as possible, rotate them if they leak, and verify the signature on events you receive from Eventeer. You are responsible for activity done with your keys until you revoke them.
Availability
We work to keep the service running and to deliver events reliably, with retries for destinations, but we do not promise a specific uptime or service level. Live stream frames are at-most-once. Destination deliveries are at-least-once, so your receiver should handle duplicates. We may perform maintenance and ship updates that briefly interrupt connections.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account if you break these terms, if your use puts the service or others at risk, or if required by law. When we can, we warn you first. After termination, the data rules in the subscriptions section apply.
Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that events will never be lost or delayed. Do not rely on it as the sole record of data you cannot afford to lose.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Eventeer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud or willful misconduct.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the place where Eventeer’s operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the competent courts of that place, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live. Please contact us first atsupport@eventeer.io; most issues can be settled informally.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest revision. For material changes we will email account owners at least 30 days before they apply. If you keep using the service after that, you accept the updated terms; if you do not, you can cancel before they take effect.
